New modern train station will drastically change Budapest traffic – PHOTOS
Railway authorities approved the building of a new train station on HungΓ‘ria Boulevard. The new station will presumably have a lot of traffic.
The new station will be on the way between Keleti Railway Station and KΕbΓ‘nya and will be important in terms of the accessibility of traffic. Thanks to the station, trams will be more accessible in the area, and people will be able to directly take bus 9 from there, wrote Telex. The new station will be named after the new Museum of Transport, and the plans will be made by next year, with the contribution of the Diller Scofidio + Renfro architecture office.

The design studio was founded in 1981, and, according to their website, the studioβs practice βspans the fields of architecture, urban design, installation art, multi-media performance, digital media, and print. With a focus on cultural and civic projects, DS+Rβs work addresses the changing role of institutions and the future of cities. The studio is based in New York and is comprised of over 100 architects, designers, artists, and researchers, led by four partnersβElizabeth Diller, Ricardo Scofidio, Charles Renfro, and Benjamin Gilmartin.β
The new station is expected to have a lot of traffic and also decrease transport by cars. The project could start next summer and be finished by 2024.

The Museum of Transport, the surrounding residential areas, the Eiffel Hall of the Opera House, the NΓ‘ndor Hidegkuti Stadium, and the northern part of NΓ©pliget will also be easy to get to once the new station is built. Bicycle stands will be placed at the station as well – 120 regulars and 30 that can be locked.

Finally an interesting article and not the relentless government propaganda that the DNH has now become a vehicle for.
I am Hungarian by parentage and very proud to be of Hungarian descent. We have relatives in Hungary that we communicate with fairly regularly and I was 17 when we were able to go home to visit our family members who live there. I uphold keeping Hungary so that it can continue to uphold Hungarian traditions, language and customs and keep Hungary Hungarian. My car sports the Hungarian flag on all sides so that the world can see that I am Hungarian. Go Hungary!!! Yay!!!
